Commissioner: Turning Point Yorkshire
In partnership with Beam
Across Yorkshire
2009
Turning Point was a 12 month programme which in its first stages investigated formal and informal learning in the visuals arts sector in the region. MAAP co-ordinated two discussions and workshops; one was a roundtable event at Huddersfield Blank Media and the second at York St Johns University: themes of the sessions included ‘space for artists’ and ‘digital technologies in the arts’. The research developed within this programme led on to the formation of the Contemporary Visual Arts Network (CVAN).
